your tank sits at Walmart
& its only on sale
for a few.
10 gallon a tank.
10 gallons a home.
I just wish I could pick one for mom.
these fish know their birthdays
& I know nothing of my name.
but I lose track of collateral,
as those that I know sit in shame.
Give me a fish-
water me a tank
it's where the fish swim
& there is no return or
coming back.
