"It had finally gotten down to it. The National Bandstand Dance-Off was coming up on live TV from Rydell's gym. All week in school, things were a little crazy. Everybody had the the jitters. Kids were dancing in the the halls, practicing and getting pointers. Classes were noisy and full of action. We all had a really hard time staying still."
