Ave Maria

So hmmmmm... where did I leave off when recapping me life for the last few months? We are now in the middle of winter, in cold Minnesota and I have a boyfriend. Well as the cold weather comes to an end, so does my first relationship. I have never really ever liked winter, it’s not like I enjoy summer that much either… personally I enjoy a good day in spring or fall. Not too hot or cold, just right. With the prospect of a new season right around the corner the one act play officially comes to a close and our schools spring play “Radium Girls” and the musical “The Fantasticks” starts up. Radium Girls was a very challenging play, especially in regard to the style of the play and the bunch of kids we had to work with. It delved deep in to the moving case of Grace Fryer and friends all dial painters who suddenly fall ill and start dying due to radium in their dial paint. The play follows Grace fighting for her voice to be heard in court as a women in the 1920’s. The show was really intriguing and very much a growing experience for the whole cast as actors.

I very much enjoyed “The Fantasticks” in regard to the show and my part, but the rest of the whole situation did not go so well… haha. Not only did winterfest take place while I was gone but so did prom. So for my second year as just a sophomore I got to go to prom. Again like last year it was such a fun night filled with dancing, conversation and fun. I was very proud of my tux decision since only like one other guy that I saw while we were taking photos before had a grey suit on. Everyone looked so great and I made some great memories that night.
So pretty much that is my time away in a nutshell of the big events that have happened from now until then. My life really is not that eventful, I am sure that by me not blogging you missed out on some of my random happening that occur through my day but I will be trying to keep up with this blogging thing. Till the next post, here are some random photos I have taken:

To Poets and Freinds.

Ok, no joke! I am gonna start keeping up with this blog thing, I feel like it is very healthy or something for me to vent on a constant basis. Last time I blogged it was half through the year approaching my sophomore winterfest, well I now have less then twenty five days of school left and winterfest and prom are far, far behind me. Winterfest was like I predicted just okay.

I have had a very productive year when it comes to what I have really loved. In January I took place in my school One Act theatre competition. I first had to audition to get in the competing show, which thankfully I did. And then after weeks of practice of our thirty minute play titled “Hush Little Celia, Don’t Say A Word” we had two public performances accompanied by two other one act plays and improv. After we got good such a great reaction from the public we had two weeks to buckle down and get to business before we went to competition. We first competed at Sub-Sections where we placed first and then at Sections where we placed third and did not advance to State. Even though we did not advance to State, the show was a complete blast and what a great bonding experience with the ten other members in the cast! I had a pretty small part only getting to play a coffee house MC and a bitchy drama assistant, but the show made a big impact on my winter months.

Our Symphonic Band has been just busy throughout the whole year. In the first week of January we traveled from the lower bowels of Minnesota and went to the heart of our state and got to perform part of MN Music Educator Association’s Mid Winter Clinic. In the audience we had music educators from all around MN to come litsen to us perform and do what we pride ourselves in most. Our selection varied from a tone poem titled “Roma Sacra” by Luigi Zaninelli which took the listeners through the many pictures and scenes of ancient Rome to “Play!” by Carl Holmquist which basically rejoices in the performance of music. I have very much enjoyed every minute of being apart of such a great and well respected ensemble and have grown so much playing wise, through the expectations set for each member.

This is a recap only though mid January so I will be posting very soon the rest of what has happened. Here is some photography from while I was away and not blogging:
