Once we arived in Lacrosse we went out to diner at a restraunt called Fayze's, which is known for its bakery goods. When ordering I couldnt decide between a chicken ceasar salad or this thing called a gyro. Please note: I had no idea what a gyro was. After asking the opionion of our waitress she said that the gryo was really good! So trusting her judgement I ordered the gyro... to my unpleasant surprise the gryo was so gross! It was this shaved foreign meat on pita bread topped with this cottage crumply cheese. Oh not to mention the random vegetables tucked inside the whole thing. It looked okay... but it had no flavor at all, it was like a bland, mushy, mess. The whole time I wasn't really sure how to eat it and I just did not enjoy it. So in the end I wasted ten dollars on a disappointing meal and was still hungry. Well at least I know next time to go with the salad.
We decided not to reserve tickets so we arrived at the theatre thirty minutes early to ensure that we got seats. My night got better when we ended up getting second row tickets. The set for the show was so cool! It was colorful, full of levels and even had its very own hippy van!
Bad photo but you get the point -
The show itself was so good. At the beginning of the show is was like "okay, where is this really going?" but after that, it never ceased to amaze me. For the duration of the show I fealt like I was part of the tribe and its magic. Near the end of the show when the whole cast is singing "Let The Sun Shine In" and we were litterally five feet away from us - i just was consumed by the music and the beautiful story. I've heard how this effect happens on everyone that goes and sees the show, but i had no idea what they really meant.
The show was an enrapturing preformance that was unforgettable in every aspect from a spectacular cast, to a innovative set and spot on acting.
